Learn about the benefits of Amazon Prime and whether the cost is worth it! There is more to Amazon Prime than just free 2 day shipping!

I’m a huge Amazon fan. Before I buy basically anything in a brick and mortar store, I always check Amazon first and I can almost always find what I’m looking for for way cheaper.

The only thing that I can’t stand is paying for shipping. This can usually be avoided by spending at least $25, but what about the times that you don’t need $25 worth of stuff?

That’s where Amazon Prime comes in. Free 2 day shipping on basically everything!

An Amazon Prime membership costs $119 a year, which comes out to a little under $10/month.

The Benefits of Amazon Prime

There are many benefits of having an Amazon Prime membership. It’s important to note that you’re also able to share these benefits with another household member. I share mine with the boyfriend, so we both benefit from the below!

Free 2 Day Shipping

Well, like we already said, Amazon Prime offers members free 2 day shipping on almost any item (there are some exceptions, but they are very few). Two day shipping is pretty awesome in my opinion.

Do most people NEED 2 day shipping? Probably not. But some do. And many want it. And there are many cities that offer same day shipping!!

Plus, I love that it’s free because I can order whenever I need something instead of trying to get to that golden $25 to get free shipping.

Because when you have to do that, you end up spending more than you should have, which goes against any efforts to save money.

Also think about the gas you’re saving by not driving to the store to make your purchases. For me, I have to drive 20 miles before getting to many stores (besides the grocery store), and I live in California where gas is $4/gallon.

Unlimited TV and Movies

In addition to the free 2-day shipping, you can also watch thousands of movies and TV shows for free on Amazon Video. I can honestly say I don’t love the platform as much as I love Netflix, but we do use it quite often.

The selection of movies and shows is great – there are a lot of HBO shows that we can’t get on Netflix. Plus, the movie selection is pretty great!

Unlimited Music Streaming

Prime offers the ability stream over 2 million songs with Prime Music. Prime Music allows for creating playlists and streaming an unlimited amount of music. The best part is that all music is ad free!

Unlimited Reading

Read thousands of books and magazines for free with Prime Reading. There are over 1,000 books and magazines Prime member can read for free. Plus, Prime gives you one free borrowed eBook each month.

You can even get these awesome personal development books if you’re on a path to better yourself!

Unlimited Photo Storage

If you’ve got tons of photos that you’re storing on your phone or a computer, you can now store them for free on the Amazon Cloud Drive. Prime Photo offers unlimited photo storage.

Is Amazon Prime Worth It?

Well, you’ll need to decide this on your own. But if you spend more than $119 a year on shipping, like to stream music, movies and TV, and read books on your kindle, I would say yes.

I love Amazon ~hi my name is lisa and i live in Philly. I’m 49 years old ( family of four ) and i live with health problems so going out for me isn’t always possible.
Amazons slogan ( they have everything you need from A to Z ) and i have found that for me its true.
I shop with Amazon anywhere from 2-6 times a month.
And like the article states: I usually find it cheaper‼️ No BS I have saved anywhere form 1 to $20.
And if you have kids in school or have an EBT card you can get Amazon Prime at a discount…
In the times that we are living in every penny you can save helps.
I hope everyone stays safe and healthy😷 Please help US get through this by hearing a mask or face coverings
