It’s Lularoe dupe time again! My post about where to find leggings similar to Lularoe but cheaper was incredibly popular – there’s a lot of people who are looking for leggings like Lularoe! Since I wrote that post, I’ve had a lot of people ask me if I knew of any alternatives to Lularoe dresses, such as the Nicole, Julie, and Carly and Lularoe tops, like the Irma and the Classic.
Well, indeed I do!
Before I share my favorite Lularoe dress alternatives, I wanted to share an update on the Lularoe leggings alternative that I recommended. I’ve worn my black pair a TON, and they’re still super soft and have held up really well in the wash. I don’t handwash them or wash them in a delicates bag or anything like that – I just throw them straight in the washer with everything else. They’re still going strong – no pilling, holes, etc. In case you missed the original post, here’s the link to the leggings I recommend.
Okay, enough about leggings – onto dresses and tops!
So the dresses I like the most from Lularoe are the Nicole, Julie, and Carly, and they’re also the ones I’ve received the most questions about.
I’ve found three great, cheaper alternatives to these dresses.
First off is this short-sleeved, scoop neck dress by DBG, which is a good alternative to the Nicole dress. It comes in a ton of different colors, it’s made in the USA, and it’s made from 5% spandex so it has a nice stretch to it. The fabric is lightweight but not see-through and one of my favorite features is that it doesn’t need ironing. Because who has time to iron? Not me.
Next is this slim-fit pencil dress by Tom’s Ware, which is a good alternative to the Julia dress. The fabric is nice and thick, there are a variety of prints and colors, and the cut is really nice.
Lastly, is this short-sleeved, casual swing dress by ROMWE. While this isn’t exactly like the Carly (it lacks the high-low hemline) it’s a really cute, easy-to-wear dress that comes in a variety of colors. It can be worn as either a short dress or over leggings as a longer top, making it a great alternative to the Irma top.
Now onto the tops!
As I mentioned above, the swing dress is a good alternative to the Irma top. Another good alternative is this All For You flare hem tunic.
These loose-fit tunic tops by Free to Live are probably my favorite tops at the moment. They really soft, made in the USA and come in a three pack for just $39.95.
Hopefully you found this post helpful!

You should also check out Made by Johnny for tunic tops. They’re on Amazon, and have a retail website. Lots of solid tunic tops in really adorable styles – all made in the USA!

Thanks for the tip, Erin! 🙂

I love this post, thank you! I have a hand dyeing business, so I peruse Amazon for blanks, and have found quite a few tops that seemed like good LLR alternatives, but you ‘ve shown me even more! I have a question about the alt-Nicole. The thing I like about the LLR is that the waist seam is a little lower, and it fits me perfectly. Does the one you found also have the lower waist seam? Thanks!
Ashli says
You’re welcome 🙂 I would say that the waist seam is slightly higher, but not “high” if that makes sense. I think it would also depend on your bust size, because a larger bust would pull the fabric up slightly higher.

Any idea where to buy tops similar to the LLR Perfect Tee?
Ashli says
No I haven’t, sorry, besides the 3 pack of Free To Live tee’s (which are not exactly the same, but they’re a good alternative.)

Hi, do you know where I can find a less expensive option for the LLR shawls?
Thank you!
Ashli says
I don’t sorry! I’ll be sure to update the post if I find something, though!
Molly says
You mentioned the Amelia in the article, but didn’t share a link to any similar items. Have you been able to find any? Thanks!
Ashli says
Sorry, I actually meant to write Carly, not Amelia! I haven’t found a great alternative to the Amelia yet, but I’ll be sure to update the post when/if I do 🙂

Do you know of a 3 packet of the Free to Live shirts in plus size?
Ashli says
I don’t think that the 3-pack comes in plus size, but you can buy them individually up to 4XL. Here’s the link: https://amzn.to/3RLEUnb

Hi Ashli! I’m so glad I found this site. I’ve been looking for tops and always looking for quality and affordability. I finally found a leggings alternative to Lularoe that is affordable. New company…Ndulge.com has great leggings!

Hi Denise! Thanks for sharing!

This post has helped me save so much money. I attended a lularoe party and spent 140 on 2 outfits. I just bought 5 outfits on Amazon for the same price.
Ashli says
That’s so awesome! 5 outfits for the price of 2!
Patty says
Are the Irma like tops hi lo?
Ashli says
No they’re not. If it helps, I’m 5’5 and it covers my butt. But the top is not longer at the back, it’s the same length all the way around.
Kathryn says
What is the sizing on the swing dress and loose fit tunic tops?
Ashli says
I think they fit true to size. I ordered a small and I’m a size 2-4.
