It’s time for another online income report! If you’re new here, I have been posting my online income reports for quite a while now (you can read all of them here.) I started when I was 3 months into blogging. I made $276 in my first ever online income report and I was so excited about it because it confirmed to me that it truly was possible to make money blogging.
I always knew during my pregnancy that I wanted to stay home with my little boy. But I also wanted to find a way to make money from home for a couple of reasons.
- To add some breathing room into our budget
- To take some financial pressure off my husband (so he wasn’t the sole income earner)
- To have something for me (I’m a very driven person, and I wanted to have something to focus on besides poopy diapers 😀 )
And less than a year later, I have turned this little ol’ blog into a full time income earner.
Does blogging sound like something you’d like?
I’ve put together a step-by-step tutorial on how to start a blog with Siteground (the absolute best hosting company there is.) Everything is laid out for you in an easy-to-follow manner, so you can get started today!
Why Do I Share My Online Income Report?
People often ask why I share my online income reports?
I think Pat Flynn was one of the first people to start sharing his online income reports. If you haven’t heard of him, he’s incredibly inspiring. After Pat started sharing his online income each month, a lot of bloggers started doing it. And I read every single one I could find. I found it so inspiring, and I thought to myself, “Why not me?”
My goal in sharing my online income reports is to inspire you, and make you think “Why not me?” Because really, there is no reason why you can’t make money online, if you put your everything into it. I don’t have a journalism degree. I’m not a reality TV star who cashed in on my sudden fame (maybe I will be one day, haha!)
May 2017 Online Income Report
This is solely money made from my blog. This doesn’t include any other income sources, including freelancing, sales, investments, etc.
Total Online Income May 2017:
(This is my highest month so far. And I’m stoke that I’m able to work home and that I get to spend every day with my little man.)
Blog Income Broken Down
Affiliate marketing makes up the bulk of my income. Months ago, I enrolled in Making Sense of Affiliate Marketing, a course which I definitely recommend if you want to learn how to implement affiliate marketing into your blog. Michelle, who created the course, makes six figures a month from her blog! Here’s the link to the course.
I’m still in love with my new ad network. Pretty much the definition of passive income. Once you reach the pageview requirements, I highly recommend applying to Mediavine.
My own product – $1200
Due to my success with the Amazon Associate’s program, I created my own short eBook called “Cracking the Code on the Amazon Associate’s Program.” I’ve had some excellent feedback on the eBook including one blogger who reported a 150% increase on her Amazon earnings since implementing the tips in the book and another blogger who’s Amazon earnings increased 20x!
Goals for June
1) Continue working my way through Elite Blog Academy
I’m still working my way through Elite Blog Academy. I’m about three quarters of the way through the course, but there are a few things I’m going to double back on.
2) Work on more product creation
I have more ideas for products, so I’m really excited to get to work on them!
