It’s that time again – time for my February 2017 online income report!
If you’re new to The Million Dollar Mama, each month I share my online income report where I document my blog progress and what worked/didn’t work.
I published my first online income report in November 2016 when my blog was just a few months old. Although the total I made in my first income report wasn’t much ($276) I was really excited about it and I think it’s nice to be able to see my progress from the beginning. If you want to read my first ever online income report, you can read it here.
Since then, my traffic and income have both grown, which I’m obviously happy about!
Blogging isn’t a “get rich quick” scheme by any means, but if you put in the work, the benefits of blogging can be amazing.
If you want to be publishing your own online income reports one day, then I highly recommend starting a blog.
I decided to start this blog back in July of 2016 (not that long ago!) and it’s far and away one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I’ve met some amazing people, built an income from home, and gained tons of valuable, marketable skills.
I’ve put together a step-by-step tutorial on how to start a blog with Siteground (the absolute best hosting company there is.) Everything is laid out for you in an easy-to-follow manner, so you can get started today!

Why Do I Share My Online Income Report?
People often ask why I share my online income reports?
I think Pat Flynn was one of the first people to start sharing his online income reports. If you haven’t heard of him, he’s incredibly inspiring. After Pat started sharing his online income each month, a lot of bloggers started doing it. And I read every single one I could find. I found it so inspiring, and I thought to myself, “Why not me?”
My goal in sharing my online income reports is to inspire you, and make you think “Why not me?” Because really, there is no reason why you can’t make money online, if you put your everything into it. I don’t have a journalism degree. I’m not a reality TV star who cashed in on my sudden fame (maybe I will be one day, haha!)
I’m just a normal person – a mom, wife, gym junkie, and personal finance nut, who decided that I wanted to share my knowledge and thoughts with the world. I know it sounds cliche, but if I can do it, so can you. Feel free to email me if you have any more questions about this crazy fun blogging world!
February 2017 Online Income Report
This is solely money made from my blog. This doesn’t include any other income sources, including freelancing, sales, investments, etc.
Total Online Income February 2017:
Blog Income Broken Down
As you can see, affiliate marketing makes up the bulk of my online income.
I mentioned in last months online income report that I had been accepted into one of the bigger ad networks. Everything was set up around the last week of February and I’ve already seen a big jump in ad revenue. I’m looking forward to seeing the result of March (my first full month of having Mediavine ads.)
Update on February’s Goals
1) Increase my page views – achieved
2) Prepare for Elite Blog Academy – achieved
I actually started Elite Blog Academy in the last week of February and I’m absolutely loving it so far. If you’re interested in seeing my initial thoughts and EBA starting point, I wrote a whole post about it that you can read here.
3) Look into offering consulting services – kind of…
I received a few inquiries about monetization consultations but I did basically no advertising. My main online focus has been Elite Blog Academy and it will continue to be that way for a while.
4) Prepare for my blog redesign – achieved
I’m currently working with a designer to do a massive overhaul of The Million Dollar Mama and I’m so excited about it. I’m LOVING the progress so far and I think it’ll help take this blog to a whole new level.
Goals for March 2017
1) Continue focusing on Elite Blog Academy
Elite Blog Academy is FULL.ON. There is a ton of reading, writing, and assignments involved (it reminds me a lot of college.) And I intend to treat EBA just like a college course.
I’m going to pouring all of my energy into completing the entire course and fully absorbing all the information that Ruth provides.
2) Continue working with my designer for the site redesign
I’ll also be focusing on my site redesign in March. We’re currently tweaking the overall layout of the homepage and then she’ll get to coding it. Hopefully we continue with the great progress we’ve been making so far.
How was your February? Any big news/achievements/goals? I’d love to hear them!
